After a blockbuster 2024 that took her around the world, performances at some of the biggest country festivals and an acclaimed EP ‘You Don’t Live Here Anymore’, all wrapping up with a Golden Guitar nomination, country singer-songwriter Abbie Ferris is back with her new single ‘Don’t Cha Dare!’

Already a live favourite, this riff-driven country-rock sizzler sees Abbie flirtatiously batting off a potential suitor - acknowledging their red-hot chemistry while protecting her heart in the aftermath of a breakup.

“I wrote this in Nashville with Shelly Riff”, Abbie recalls. “I was just on the other side of a big breakup and starting to wake up to the attention I was getting from men, but knowing I wasn’t healed enough to jump into anything yet. So this song is about that push and pull, feeling the temptation and resisting it. It also goes so hard live!”

Recorded with longtime producer Michael Carpenter and featuring Jimmy Barnes keyboardist Clayton Doley on piano, the juicy guitars and infectious rhythm recalls classic Brooks & Dunn footstompers and even the sensuality of the Rolling Stones at their best.

Fresh from joining headliner James Johnston at the KIX Live in the Park show in Tamworth, Abbie has just been a month in Nashville working on new music, with more to be revealed as the year wears on. This month, she’ll continue her residency at Jolene’s in Sydney, as well as returning to the stage at CMC Rocks QLD with her band. It’s just the start of another big year for an artist who never stops riding towards a bigger horizon ahead
