Bobby Tank is the new wunderkind of glitchy electrofunk, a producer and performer who makes music that sounds like a mosaic of every great electronic dance style of the past 30 years.

2012 threw TANK into the spotlight with ‘Afterburn’ securing him massive shows and a cult fan following at Camden Crawl, Field Day, Ibiza Rocks, KOKO and the Warehouse Project with Annie Mac, Justice and Skream. His remix duties have seen him tear up the likes of AlunaGeorge, Nikki & The Dove and DJ Fresh and make fans of Chase & Status - "we LOVE Bobby Tank".

Now Bobby Tank and his marching band of futuristic-glacial synths return in the shape and form of 'The Way' EP. It's a transcendental journey, seeing Bobby pick up from where he left off with the Afterburn EP.

There's a clearer more defined production aesthetic to Bobby’s work and spanned across six complete tracks. He even takes the time to leap into the unknown, with Vorpheum - this took us by surprise with its rapid piston pump action quietly reminiscent of Hudson Mohawk before TNGHT. Then there's 'Glass Moon' an iced-out 90s meets 80s rnb track that touches your inner soul, whilst lead track 'The Way' is a proficient display of arrangement and harmony, that is already clocking up airtime on the shows of :

Zane Lowe - "a monster of a record that is completely oblivious to what is 'should' sound like"

Annie Mac - "bonkers amazing a hottest record"

Eddie Temple Morris - "ticks all the boxes for me I LOVE THIS"

Huw Stephens - "amazing, all over the night time shows and its a banger"

and many other Radio 1 presenters, and is reason alone why Bobby Tank is our 'One To Watch 2013'. Brilliant!

*Footnote: Just in time for Valentines Day, look out for the explosive remix of fellow bass boy superstar & Australian chart topper Flume's new single 'Left Alone' which has firmly cemented the two expectationally talented beat makers public bromance (Flume recently heard raving about Bobby on UK airwaves).
