New Electronic band Disciples, announce their arrival on the scene, with their impressive debut four-track Remedy EP that spans current yet timeless, house and garage sounds, with a hearty dose of summertime vibes.
Disciples are three young South London friends: Duvall, Gavin Kool and Luke Mac, who have spent the last few years behind the scenes, working with a diverse range of artists, from Ms Dynamite, Afrojack, to Roses Gabor.
Now stepping out of the shadows, and into the spotlight, this trio of multi-talented singer/songwriter/producer/performers, have come together to form the exciting new group Disciples, and are widely tipped to achieve big things.
Title track ‘Remedy’ is a fresh, anthemic, summer house jam, that received its first national radio play via DJ Target on his BBC 1Xtra ‘100% HomeGrown show’. Target has heavily supported ‘Remedy’across 1Xtra and Radio 1, leading to Target personally electing it for 1Xtra’s ‘Weekend Anthem’ playlist.
Trevor Nelson, Toddla T, Cameo, Marcus Bronzy, Adele Roberts, Ace are also supporting ‘Remedy’ across Radio 1 and 1Xtra, and it was also recently crowned ‘Track of The Week’ on Express FM, and entered Cool Cuts chart at no.13.
‘Remedy’ is followed closely by cool garage cut ‘Night’ that has picked up support on 1Xtra via Marcus Bronzy, whilst the third track on the EP ‘Vibe’, is a stomping, organ-heavy workout that has received early club support from Electronic Youth. Lastly ‘Circles’ is a slick club banger that closes this debut release in true style, and has won early club support from Armand Van Helden.
The Remedy EP has already picked up amazing ‘across the board’ support, from key tastemakers, through to DJ influencers. So, keep a close eye on Disciples as they takeover summer 2013, and beyond.
