At 19 years of age, Jackson is now more and more creatively inspired by his own observations of people and place. He is emerging as a singer-songwriter of rare talent. His song writing is often deeply contemplative and yet at other times seems to simply be celebrating the beauty to be found in everyday life. Jackson will be on the road this April supporting Ben Ottewell of Gomez in NSW and VIC before heading off on an Australian wide tour supporting Passenger (UK).

After self-producing many recordings in his bedroom, Jackson recorded his debut EP with 2007 ARIA Producer Of The Year, Josh Pyke. The EP saw Jackson take his show on the road across Australia, touring with the likes of The Swell Season (Ireland), Jay Brannan (USA), Howie Day (USA), Gin Wigmore and of course, the aforementioned Josh Pyke.

After a move from Warrnambool to inner-city Melbourne, and a month long stint by himself in Tasmania, traveling around via coach armed with a backpack , guitar and laptop, Jackson has emerged with a new set of wonderful songs. These songs will now become Jackson’s second EP Mirrors & Strings, which will be released in April. The EP was produced by John Castle who was recently nominated for an ARIA award for his work on Washington’s debut platinum album.

With a new full live band The Triple Threat, Jackson’s live shows have taken on a whole new life. Catch them soon as new dates are to be announced next week!
