Jakubi - the Melbourne five-piece who have amassed a huge online following worldwide – are currently on tour to celebrate the release of their new single ‘Couch Potato’. To celebrate, the hip hop/pop/grunge collective will hit the road for an east coast run of shows - including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Byron Bay and more - before embarking on a 17-date tour of America.

Adding to the success of their tour announcement around Australia and the US, Jakubi have announced that they will collaborate with renowned producer, Mike Posner – known for writing worldwide hits, such as Justin Bieber’s smash ‘Boyfriend’. Posner has also released his own hits ‘Bow Chicka Wow Wow’, ‘Please Don’t Go’ and ‘Cooler Than Me’, as well as writing songs for artists such as Pharrell Williams, Nelly, Snoop Dogg & more.

'Couch Potato' premiered on the renowned US music blog Hilly Dilly on Friday 13th June, and within the first month, the single has received over 500,000 plays across Soundcloud and YouTube.

The quintet's rapidly growing fanbase serves as a huge testament to their talent. After uploading their first ever track 'Can't Afford It All' to Soundcloud in 2013, the song received a staggering 50,000 plays - all within the first two weeks. Their second and third singles also followed suit. Today, with their singles and remixes combined, the band can boast close to an incredible 5 million plays online. After just three and a half weeks the bands current single ‘Couch Potato’ has amounted to 250,000 soundcloud listens.

Due to high demand, the band will take their energetic live show to fans across Australia and beyond - including America, where they continue to be inundated with requests from both loyal listeners and industry members alike.

Don't miss this chance to catch Jakubi live before they're lured overseas.
