The American experimental rock band from Brooklyn New York are back in Australia for the first time since 2013, and will be playing songs from their 10-year repertoire, including songs from their current album ‘Erotic Reruns’. The album was written and produced by singer/multi-instrumentalist Chris Keating, singer/multi-instrumentalist Anand Wilder, and bassist/singer Ira Wolf Tuton.
‘Erotic Reruns’ is the fifth studio album by Yeasayer, and its best one yet. With lead singles ‘I’ll Kiss You Tonight’, followed by ‘Fluttering In The Floodnights’, and ‘Let Me Listen In On You’ it’s clear that ‘Ecstatic Baby’ is the pick of the bunch. ‘Ecstatic Baby’ is a slappyhappy song that slings the spring-fling Yeasayer pop, to a new style of funk. ‘Ecstatic Baby’ allows you to venture into their wild imagination, as the music video features a wonder world CGI experience with insects, monsters and creatures.
Yeasayer are currently on an extensive international tour that includes 26-dates in the USA and European festivals. The band are thrilled to be coming back to Australia saying today “It has been too long not playing to our fans in Australia, and we’re really looking forward to sharing our new record live with yall come February!â€
