Sister2Sister (S2S) are Aria Award winning sisters, Christine and Sharon Muscat, who are best known for their unforgettable debut smash “SISTER†in 1999. Their relatable music diarised their relationship as sisters, their friendships, life, and pure infectious fun.
They began their music career over 25 years ago signing deals worldwide with Mushroom, Sony, and Columbia Records by the age of 12 and 15 which had them extensively tour over 25 countries to promote their music. International supports included Savage Garden in San Fransisco/America, boy band 5ive in the UK, and Britney Spears on her Oops I Did It Again world tour along with hundreds of performances and promotional appearances like Top of the Pop in the UK. Together the sisters graced some of the world’s biggest stages including London’s Wembley Arena, New York’s Madison Square Garden, and Sydney’s Entertainment Centre.
Their debut single “Sister†peaked at #3 on the ARIA Charts and #18 on the UK singles charts with the song winning ‘Best Independent release’ at the 2000 ARIA MUSIC AWARDS, and was certified double-platinum. S2S released their second single, “What’s a Girl to Do?†which peaked at #5 on the ARIA singles charts, and #61 on the UK singles charts. The song was certified Gold in Australia, and was featured in the soundtrack to the film, Bring it On. Their third single, “Too Many Times†peaked at #35. In June 2000, S2S released their certified Gold selling debut album, “ONE†which peaked at #3 in Australia.
After Christine and Sharon toured America, Asia, Europe extensively they returned home to Sydney, Australia and host their very own music show called MTV’s Australian Top 30 which won them an ASTRA award for their work.
In October 2022, Christine and Sharon will bring back the nostalgia with their upcoming tour supporting UK boy band, 5ive. Sharon admits, “to share a stage with the boys again after 20 or so years is incredible, what a spin out!â€.
Today, Sharon is signed up to tour Australia and the UK with Darren Hayes, and both girls look forward to touring with Hugh Sheridan nationally, among other featured performances. Christine explains, “We have been doing all the things, gigging, teaching singing, backing vocals, sessions, gigs, running a business, and started our own families. We are so excited to share some new music we have been working onâ€.
After 23 years, Christine and Sharon are pumped to release their new single, “Nothing’s Gonna Bring Us Down Nowâ€. Sharon explains, “this song has massive anthem vibes, and we all really need to feel it right nowâ€. Serving up 80’s electronic sounds, and a hint of 90’s elements, the girls signature vocals cut through themes of friendship, love, and adversity. The sisters are ready to own that ‘they are back’ in everyone’s eyes but feel like they’ve never left.
