If you’ve not yet heard of THE SUNSHINE STATE it won’t be long before you do. In a monumental move the band’s debut single ‘3 WORDS’ will premiere on Dancing With The Stars on Channel 7 this SUNDAY APRIL 29. THE SUNSHINE STATE.
In the lead up to the single premiere, ‘3 WORDS’ will be available on the iTunes Music Store TOMORROW (Friday April 27) ahead of the premiere of on Dancing With The Stars and serviced to radio nationally on MONDAY APRIL 30.
‘3 WORDS’ is a stunning pop song wrapped in texture and vocally defines a sound destined to rack up hit after hit. The rough edge of Gavin Edwards vocal combined with the stunning harmonies of Robby De Sa work together to create this stunning song. ‘3 WORDS’ will be released digitally to co-incide with the premiere on Sunday night April 29.
Hailing originally from South Africa, THE SUNSHINE STATE is Gavin Edwards and Robby De Sa. They formed the rock band ‘Franklin’ in 2001, successfully landing a residency at the Sun International Groups prestigious resort, Sun City Hotel and Casino in South Africa. It was here they met International singer songwriter, Brian McFadden. At Brian’s request the band flew to Ireland to record the single ‘You’, penned by Gavin and Robby which resulted in a top 20 hit for in Europe.
In 2007, Gavin and Robby decided it was time for them to take a break from the band and take their music in a different direction, and so THE SUNSHINE STATE was born. They found inspiration in Nashville, Los Angeles and Australia where they continued to write and record material for their debut album. ‘3 WORDS’ will appear on the bands eagerly anticipated release debut EP, which is due for release over the coming months.
