Background
• In 2006, the band scored the closing slot at Coke Fest in Johannesburg, taking the stage after international superstars Metallica
• After performing 70 shows in the UK in early 2007, the band was selected to perform at the Live Earth concert in Johannesburg in June of that year
• The Parlotones have shared the stage with musical greats including Kings Of Leon, The Gossip, Violent Femmes, Evanescence, The Wombats, Razorlight, Starsailor and many more
• They’ve taken out two awards at the prestigious International Songwriting Competition, judged by the likes of Robert Smith, Tom Waits and Rob Thomas
• A group of many talents, The Parlotones created their own boutique red wine called Giant Mistake in 2009, and have just launched a white wine called Push Me To The Floor
• The band is now gearing up to play at the FIFA World Cup Kick-Off Concert in Johannesburg on 10 June, alongside Alicia Keys, The Black Eyed Peas, Shakira and many more

• Achieved double-platinum status, selling in excess of 80,000 units and making it South Africa’s biggest selling rock album of the decade
• Remained in the top 20 on the South African albums chart for over 12 months

• The single “I’ll Be There†received two MTV Africa Awards nominations, and won three South African Video Awards
